Indian Banks supporting financing for solar rooftop

Solar rooftop adoption is gaining speed across India. Banks in India are not yet offering loans with the solar system as the collateral security. All the banks in the attachment below in their communication to MNRE have mentioned that the financing of the rooftop plant will be based on a top up of the home loan.

It is anticipated that once banks start offering financing on the solar systems (without the need for a home loan), solar rooftop adoption will definitely increase at a much faster rate.
